CHOMCHE is a NBA Academy Africa graduate. The 18-year-old spent the last four years at the elite basketball training center in Saly, Senegal. The 2.10m (6ft 11in) was selected 57th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2024 NBA Draft, making him the first NBA Academy Africa prospect drafted to the NBA of all the three NBA academies on the continent.

He has excellent mobility for someone of his size, which is very valuable for the kind of player that he is in today’s NBA. While playing in different events and three games in the Basketball Africa League he showed his elite defensive skills, especially his shot-blocking ability
