According to a recent publication gotten from #CelebrityNetworth site, here are the top 5 richest Cameroonian artists in 2023 as well as their estimated net worths :
1 – Occupying spot number one is the flashy singer ad entrepreneur Sonkey Reprudencia. Mostly recognized by her stage name @Dencia, she equally caps the title of artist and influencer, recognized as being the richest in Africa in this domain. She has appeared in a host of A-class US singers’ videoclips, including but not limited to Lady Gaga, 50 Cent, Ludacris and Chris Brown. With an estimated fortune of over 20 million dollars (more than 13 billion CFA francs), Dencia first made fortune with her black skin-lightening cosmetics brand.
2- At spot number 2 we have Pop Music star and former tennis player Yannick Noah Official whose fortune is roughly estimated at 10 million euros (about 6.5 billion CFA francs). Yanick Noah, Frances 2012 most popular celebrity of the year was known to have been largely supported by the music legend Manu Dibango during the release of his 1st album.
3- Richard Bona, came to the spotlight by being the first Cameroonian to have won a Grammys Award in the United States of America, the Jazz star and base guitarist is owner of a villa in the United States and it is said each of his shows earn him more than $60,000. Regarding his fortune, he is said to be worth over 9.1 million dollars.
4- At the fourth position we have Cameroon’s equivalent of Puff Daddy when it comes to name switching. Adolphe Claude Mundi aka Turbo Omega aka Petit Pays aka Rabbi Rabbi, perceived as one of Cameroon’s most consistent and successful artist has been in the music industry since the 80s recording more than 50,000 cassettes sold and more than 35 albums produced. Petit Pays’ fortune is estimated at 3.8 million dollars (more than 2 billion CFA Francs).
5 – Last but not the least on the chart is the Stanley Enow who made waves by being the 1st Cameroonian artist to win an MTV Music Award in Dallas in the United States in 2014 and an Afrimma Music in Nigeria with his debut album Soldier like my papa and hit sound “Hein Père”. Stanley is first and foremost a radio and TV animator and holds a degree in Business Journalism and Communications from the University of Douala. His image is equally associated to several brands and organizations in Cameroon as ambassador. Stanley’s fortune today amounts to more than 1.2 million dollars, (more than 780 million CFA francs).
