Initially scheduled to take place in Guinea, the 34th edition of the biennial African Football Association started in the country of Didier Drogba and Yaya Touré Cote D’Ivoire. As planned, it started on January 13th and will be ending on February 11, 2024,
After a beautiful opening ceremony, we all witness the beautiful victory of the hosting country against Guinee-Bissau 2:0.
After the first week of this tournament, we have seen a lot of young talented players and new countries to be monitored and count them as countries to reckon with for future AFCON competition.
24 teams for 52 matches in 5 cities in total is what we are expecting during this 34th edition.
